Typography Choices - Digital
When looking for a relevant typeface, I took into account what it would have to look like. Below I have listed different types that I feel that would work well in my theme and work.
I have collected a wide range of type examples, each I believe would work well in my work. As you can see, I have selected those that are patchy and faded, looks old and damaged. This fits into my work as I am focusing on old, forgotten and glitching technology (in the form of the animtronics from FNaF1, 2 and 3. I have chosen two types that are similar in shape and style to typewriters as it is used in the actual games, if I use those it would be for the phrase 'It's Me...'

Typography Choices - Designing My Own Type (Vintage Pizza)
As a part of my research into typography, I created my own to possibly use in my work. I created it to fit in with the location that the Five Nights at Freddy's games are set. The vintage pizzeria, Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. With this in mind, I started to create a very square shape for the letters, and this developed with minimal shape changes to show the difference in the individual letters.
When I was happy with the overall shape and look of the type, I started to draw out the rest of the letters in pencil, using a grid to keep everything the same size.

Emulations
To further develop my ideas, I used my copies as a base and then created eight different sets of 'Pixel' images depicting the four animtronics during the day and the night. Using the style of the original images of the characters from the mini games in FNaF2 (the old characters from the first game), I created them again, but this time using the 'Toy' versions. The collection shows each animtronic head as they would be seen during the daytime, and then how they change ready for the nightshift (the setting for each game).

Copies
These images are some of the original locations of the images I have observed and the items separated from the image so I could see the details, especially on the mini game screenshots. these images were taken as I was playing through the game, they are either a screenshot from the gameplay (mini game) or one of the images from within the game files (Prize Corner).

Experiment 2 - Toy Bonnie Digital Glitch Art
Again, using my painting of 'Toy Bonnie' I took it into Photoshop, and started to break up the image. I did this by using the marquee tool to select chunks of the image and copy them to a new layer, before moving the selection so it became out of line to the original image.
I then started to alter the sections by changing the Hue and Saturation. I did this to add a change in colour to the piece, as when in image becomes glitched, the colours tend to change. I dropped the Hue and rose the Saturation to create an obvious change to the look of the broken pieces. To finish it, I also brought up the Lighness.
Next, I added a Colour Balance layer to the image and changed the smaller strips of the broken image and some parts of the broken ear and eyes. I also coloured the very bottom of the image where it hasn't changed.
To add some darker patches to my image, I created a Levels layer and used that to darken patches of 'Toy Bonnie'. I randomly created patches of this darker overlay to show a change in the image from the original colours.
To finish this glitched image, I added another Colour Balance layer to create a pink tone over my work. I did this because in the examples I have looked at, the colour pink is present. Just like the other layers, I added this one is chunks all over my existing layer edits. And to add the final part, I created some patchy sections, where the colour is inverted, to make the image file look broken.
Experiment 1 - Toy Bonnie Scan Glitch Art
Using my original painting of 'Toy Bonnie' I scanned it in again, this time moving my sketchbook as I scanned to create the distorted and glitchy look to the character. I like this style as it links back to my starting point of flaws and I can easily work into these images, using them as a starting point.
